Hotel Facilities

Outdoor lagoon style swimming pool set in a landscaped sun terrace with sun beds and umbrellas. Indoor heated swimming pool. Cloisters – The main restaurant (serving rich buffet breakfast and buffet dinner with regular theme nights e.g. Cypriot night, BBQ night etc.) Deck Restaurant - Overlooking the pool (serving breakfast and a la carte dinners e.g flambé, fish night etc). Yacht - Pool restaurant and bar (serving daytime snacks, special dishes of the day, ice creams and refreshing drinks.) VIPs Garden – Outdoor A la Carte restaurant (open to residents and non-residents, serving traditional Cypriot and international cuisine al fresco). Rotonda - Poolside bar (set on the edge of the lagoon pool in a romantic gazebo and surrounded by special water features, it offers cool and exotic drinks by the pool– ideal for wedding parties). The Lounge –Main Cocktail bar (set in the central lobby area, the meeting point for a relaxing cocktail in an air conditioned environment). Pepper – Music café/bar (open to residents and non-residents, serving light snacks, ice cream, desserts and drinks in a modern and trendy environment ). Aqua - Health Club (with gym, sauna*, solarium*, Jacuzzi*, steam bath*, and massage*. (*all payable locally with the exception of the gym). Floodlit Tennis Court (flood lights payable locally). Room Facilities

All rooms have been newly renovated and have been decorated in a modern yet relaxing style in ‘earth’ tones.
Standard rooms: Twin or double bedded, can sleeping up to 2 adults. All with air-conditioning/heating (depending on season), satellite TV, radio, safety deposit box (payable locally), mini bar/mini fridge (payable locally), tea and coffee making facilities (payable locally), direct dial telephone, hairdryer, en-suite bathroom and balcony. Pool view rooms available at a supplement.
Terrace rooms: Standard twin or double bedded rooms with a private terrace including sun beds and umbrella.
Superior rooms: Larger twin or double bedded rooms sleeping up to 2 adults. Additional complimentary facilities of mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, bathrobes and slippers, fruit and wine in room upon arrival.  Pool view rooms available at a supplement.
Junior Suites: Larger pool view rooms sleeping up to 2 adults.  Twin or double bedded with balcony. Spacious sofa, plasma TV, multimedia entertainment centre, fully stocked mini bar, extra complimentary facilities such as safety deposit box, French champagne upon arrival and assorted canape served daily.
Suites: Larger than the superior rooms and sleeping up to 2 adults and 2 children (3rd and 4th beds are sofa beds). All with 4-poster beds, larger bathroom with Jacuzzi and balcony. Additional, complimentary facilities as per Superior rooms.
Honeymoon Suites: One bedroom suite sleeping up to 2 adults.  With a King size 4-poster bed, larger bathroom with jacuzzi and balcony.  All other facilities as per Junior Suites.
Suite: Two-room suite sleeping up to 2 adults.  With a King size 4-poster bed, larger bathroom with Jacuzzi, living area with working desk, sofa and plasma TV and balcony.  All other facilities as per Junior Suites.

The impression of the Architects (this description includes phase two of the refurbishment)

The Napa Plaza hotel is located near the lively centre of Ayia Napa. It defines one side of the monastery piazza with the 14th century Ayia Napa monastery on the other side and the new church on the third side. This is the heart of Ayia Napa where history and modernity come together.

The main frontage of the hotel is along the bustling thoroughfare with its restaurants, cafes, and bars and which leads to the sandy beaches of Ayia Napa a few minutes walk away.

The refurbished hotel projects a new impressive image. Light ochre colour will complement the buff colour of the stone from which the monastery is built.

A lofty stone clad gateway leads visitors to the entrance lobby, whilst an impressive array of metal clad columns will animate the High Street frontage of the hotel by night with real flame on torches. This also defines the entrance to the lower ground floor facilities via the two arcaded stone staircases and fountain features.

Ground Floor

The ground floor is arranged on several levels. The lower area contains the reception area and management offices. Antique cream marble contrasts with the plush white surfaces of the ceiling where concealed lighting enhances the ambience and small spotlights highlight the architectural features. The rear wall of the reception area is covered with a rare antique marble.

Steps and ramps lead visitors to the upper ground floor, containing the piano bar with contemporary furniture which contrasts with the warm cream of the marble floor.

A new circular double height atrium space is ringed by round columns finished in Stucco Veneziano. These visually link the newly opened basement space with the ground floor.

Dramatic lighting enhances the ambiance of this space with views to the courtyard, swimming pools as well as the main street just outside.

A set of marble steps lead visitors to the main restaurant, an arcaded cross vaulted space with views towards the 14th century monastery. Timber roof trusses, ochre coloured arches and antique terracotta floor enhance the warm and rustic quality of this restaurant.

The Courtyard

A magnificent mosaic covered free form swimming pool is the centrepiece of the open air courtyard.

Richly landscaped with Mediterranean palm trees, olives and citrus trees, the courtyard provides sunny and shaded area for sunbathers and relaxation. The courtyard is covered with two-tone terracotta tiles and cobble stones surround the swimming pool.

A campanile styled clock tower provides a reference point whilst two stone tower features emphasise the main axis of the courtyard. All are lit up at night to create surreal vistas from every direction.

Two bar areas provide refreshments at all hours. One bar is located under the shade of the al fresco restaurant deck which, from its elevated position, offers panoramic views of the courtyard. The second bar is located in a new amphitheatre space in a romantic gazebo flanked on either side by stone gargoyles gushing water into the pool.

A children’s pool is in close proximity to the main pool and the two bars.

The indoor Health and Fitness centre, heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room and changing rooms are directly accessed from the courtyard.

Basement

The circular colonnaded atrium links the ground and basement floors and provides a dramatic space in the heart of the public areas. The atrium with its powerful geometry and architecture provides natural light into the basement area, and keeps the two areas visually connected.
